80’s Makeup Transformation!

The 80's.. the most iconic decade in history. Stepping out of your comfort zone and creating fun looks that expressed your personality. 

The Inspiration behind my makeup look is Boy George. He is an English Singer, Songwriter, Dj, Fashion Designer, Photographer and Record Producer. The pop Band Culture Club was one of the most iconic in the 80's. Boy George always created the most dramatic, head turning looks with his makeup designs and style.

 I have noticed that a lot of the makeup "trends" that we are seeing today on instagram and Pinterest pays homage to the 80's and specifically Boy George, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Grace Jones, Princess Diana, Brooke Shields, Iman, Debbie Harry, Sade, David Bowie, Annie Lennox and Prince! I am sure there are more artists, If I were to type them all, this post would be endless! haha 

Unusual colorful eyeshadow stories including Blue, Purple, Pink, orange, yellow and more !! Don't forget your bright lip shade to complement the electric shades you applied on your eyelids. 

80's Makeup and Hair Consisted of the following:

• Heavy Eyeliner 
• Geometric eyeliner shapes
• Bold eyebrows
• Lash to lid eyeshadow
• Blush on the apples of cheeks up to the temple
• Metallic lipstick 
• Mascara with colors like blue, pink, etc
• Neon colors in hair and makeup(to complement your neon clothes of course!)
• Big hair! The bigger the hair, the better. 
• Geometric haircuts
