Thank you for visiting my website! I am a licensed Cosmetologist, Aesthetician and Certified/Published Makeup Artist of 10 years! Videography and capturing the moment is precious to me, I have filmed, directed, educated and produced a makeup tutorial for Ultimate Face Cosmetics. I have been a Salon Business owner. As a Makeup Artist/Hairstylist I have achieved experience within tv/film (some of my work include "Trial Professionals" commercials), live runway/hair shows( Premiere beauty show Orlando is one of them!) , Professional Education (makeup specialty and hair) for Paul Mitchell, and assisting Martin Parsons (learned live broadcast makeup,hair styling and updos). Everything around us is magical, here is where thoughts come to life. Follow me on my journey. Trust your journey.
My journey through life as an artist started at an early age, as a young dreamer. I dreamt of changing peoples lives, making their soul gleam with happiness, inspire them, impact them. I knew it was possible, I just didn't know which path to take.
Eventually, whilst attending high school, I had the opportunity to broaden my horizons with a special program which allowed me to attend a technical school of my choice. Always intrigued and hungry to learn new career oriented skills, I chose to enroll into an Aesthetics course. Before I expand on how this Aesthetics course changed my life, let me add that I had an entirely different plan prior to this "calling". I thought I was going to become an Author, or a Psychiatrist, I even earned college credit for some courses based on those subjects (I was determined)!! Back to the shift I took to change my entire path...The day that changed my career plans was the day I changed a woman’s life.
As students we would have Spa Day; where we would create a spa atmosphere and get to work with actual guests! It was my first day working with someone I have never met. My guest arrived and I greeted her with a warm smile. She looked so upset and sad. We had our consultation and she wanted a facial treatment and I upgraded her to a makeup application. When I was finished giving her a facial treatment, I sensed that her mood was getting a little bit brighter. Once I started her makeup application, she told me her story. A very tragic story that involved loss, sadness, loneliness, and abandonment. Throughout the entire story, I stayed quiet and listened. When I was done with her makeup application I guided her to a full length mirror and what happened next brought me to tears. She glared at herself in the mirror, looked at me, and then glared at herself even more. Her face lit up revealing a beautiful smile. She ran towards me and as she hugged me she said “I don’t remember the last time I have ever felt this way, or even smiled. I haven’t looked like this in so many years. Thank you. Thank you. I will never forget you, or how you helped me.” She took a step back and looked at herself once more "You are giving me an excuse to plan a lunch date with the girls! “. She smiled once again, but this time tears accompanied that smile. I gave her a tissue and guided her to the reception center and we said our farewells. The next day I received a letter that was left at the front desk written just for me. I opened it and it what was stated on that letter was, “Thank you for listening. " On the bottom of the letter was the name of that woman. I changed her life as she changed mine.
From then on, I knew what my calling was. I finally knew how to change peoples lives! I worked within the spa and makeup industry for many years. I decided to grow as a passionate professional and artist once again and enrolled and graduated from Cosmetology school.
Since then I have been involved behind the scenes as a Makeup Artist and Hairstylist at Theatrical Opera Shows, Fashion Shows, Hair and Makeup Shows, Commercial Shoots, Weddings, Photo Shoots, and assisted Professional Platform Artists!
I hope that my story, or " About Me' helps inspire you to realize that dreams do come true! Here I was a little dreamer, wanting to change peoples lives. With faith, patience and perseverance I converted my dream into a reality. I believe that you can too!
